Painting All Day

It’s wonderful, you should try it!

Ah, Joy! I got to paint all day yesterday. There really is nothing like it. Being left alone, after a busy week, to just concentrate on your painting, that you’ve been looking at and yearning to work on. It really is wonderful, and you really should try it! Not only does it leave you with a sense of accomplishing something but it gets those creative juices flowing. I want to do a couple more paintings in the draft horse series, but then yesterday I got bunch of ideas for what to do next. I won’t tell you for the moment . You’ll just have to wait and see. :-P

Sketchbook Success

I also am happy to report that my plan of posting my sketch book drawings up once a week, seems to be working very well. After, I’m embarrassed to say, too long of a dry “sketch book” spell, I seem to be keeping up. The result is that the cobwebs are being dusted off, the squeaky wheel is getting greased, and I feel like I’m loosening up. And you artists out there know how important that is. Tightness can really strangle a drawing or painting, especially when your drawing or painting something as fluid and graceful as a horse.
